Archive: Ok so after talking with some of the guys in the pickup channel, I figured out that basically this map is done. Gnaa originally made it, but sent me the vmf with all of his other projects.
SOooo...what I wanna know is, aside from the following, is there anything else wrong with this map?
If not then I'll just fix those really fast give it a _b2 for a week or so, and be done with it. Grab the map and take a look around here(click). |

Okay, I did look at this before but nothing struck me. Its good enough for a classic map if you wanted to release it Satan.
Only things I would say (keeping in mind its _classic). Water seems murkier than I remember it being in TFC - I can't imagine seeing an SG clearly which is what I remember using it for. General lighting should be brighter and less saturated. Lights on specific objects are okay (bags, team signs etc) but need to be balanced out by some 'cleaner' lighting cause the whole map seems a bit 'dull'. Regarding wall lights (more so if you do lighten up the base) you should bring the lights away from the wall, but thats just me cause I don't like the splodges that lights form on walls. Take what you want from this but as I said its good enough for a classic and probably isn't worth the effort. If you do make changes to the lights use the entity browser to select the lights in groups based on their current light values, makes it easier. Not played this yet, so would like to. |

If you don;t do the map properly then I'll do it someday lol - used to really like it in TFC.. this classic will give good ideas on how to change it up for FF which I think may be necessary (as always is :p) |
Still u can touch flag with lasers.
U cant see deep water in flagroom. Need more brightness imo. |
good to know, I'll try to touch that all up and get something out. Would help if it didn't take like 2 mo for someone to notice this stuff thou :evil:

Yeah, thought I had lost this map along with everything else I lost when my Dimension E520 finally decided to stop pretending to be a computer and die :shock:
BUT it turns out that I actually had a backup copy of all my FF maps on a CD I found recently!! So I went ahead and made this a final version, finally :lol: See OP for details/screenshots/download |
