Official FF Custom Maps Directory?
 

Hey, I wanted to know if the FF team was considering adding a directory of custom maps to the official FF site?

This way there would be one strong central community for FF where people could gather and submit maps they make. It would also cut down on the problem of 10,000 remakes of a single map, since everyone would know where to go to see if a map was remade, and to post their remakes.

There are a bajillion other benefits, but I wanted to throw the idea out there. I'm sure there's some web savvy person who frequents these forums that'd help out setting up the infrastructure for it :D

They've mentioned wanting to do something like this, but probably not until release or some time after.

I feel like ASAP would be beneficial, because if they wait for large community sites to get going, then all the problems which an official directory can avoid will become rampant.

Agreed. It would also give FriedBunny a few things to do in his spare time as well.

Yea, and it could have a special sub-directory of beta versions of maps compiled in HL2 or HL2:DM.
