Since a Volleyball map is in the works, is there a chance of getting a Dodgeball map going? I know there have been a few HL2 mods made on it, but none of them work since Steampipe fucked up everybody's lives.

You might want to explain a bit more of what you're imagining. I can think of a lot of ways that this could be done (soldiers vs soldiers with a playerclip arena, throwing balls a la waterpolo, shooting prop_physics a la volleyball, etc, etc, etc)

Civilian would probably be best.... but any class could work, really.

You're team is behind a line(pre-match), when pre-match ends, everyone races towards the line of balls at mid-court. Whomever picks one up, throws it at the opposing team. If you're hit before it bounces, you're sent to the sideline, or maybe a 5 second delay before respawning? Once the balls are in play, touching one on the ground picks it up, to be thrown.

1 "kill" point(or you can do Fortress Points, if you prefer) for every opposing player hit.

With no "weapons" other than the balls, you could even leave the classes open... but the movement speed differences would make HW's easy pickings, and Scouts potentially difficult.

If you can clear the opposing team from the field, 10 points to the team and the field resets?

I think a short delay is ok, but we can test it and adjust for whichever is better. Last thing we'd want is a map intended to be "fun", that clears the server whenever it comes up.
