Bots please!!!
I really like FF but, here in Australia things are piss poor.
As of this writing the aussie servers have not updated to 1.1. Even if they did there is no one on them anyway. C'mon Doc Evil!! Let's get those bots up and running please. Otherwise FF will become (for me) another nice idea gone south. Cheers Leon |
play on other servers. :s
|
I think they do plan to implement bots, as there are some mentions in the console and a little interface that looks like it would potentially be used for bots
but in all honesty I highly doubt completion of the bots will ever be high priority |
Regardless of bots, you can't just play on other servers. The lag becomes rampent and makes it almost unplayable. I'd hate if the only servers playable were in different countries... The admins of the servers need to do some updates....
|
Im in the us and i play in wireplay.co.uk servers, its not that bad my ping is +100's but hey its not cs and everything regs ive never missed a det or a sentry gun shot.
|
The first server I could find that has players is 200+ ping so that is not an option.
Besides I am a "mature age" gamer and it gets tiresome when immature young punks dish out abuse etc. (not saying anyone here is involved with that) Bots will do fine thanks. Especially when Dr.Evil is doing them. I still play TFC with his excelent FoxBot. Cheers Leon |
i think bots runied TFC
|
Yeah that's what you think.
I don't think bots are capable of ruining anything, except your kd ratio or patience... I too want bots for FF :D. |
Bots did ruin TFC, especially if you just want to find a real active server without any bots, thanks to idiot server admins who use them to fake fill the server with players so it looks like theres people playing so then to find a good server you have to look for one of the very rare servers that done have bots period and atleast 3 people in it or go thru each full server in the server list manually viewing each one to see all the players In game time so you can count how many bots in compairison to real players are in the server.
|
yeah gotta love the "no bots" servers filled with bots. if i wanted to play with bots i wouldnt be doing it online and i dont want to play with bots... bots killed tfc for me
|
That's not the bots fault that's the server admins fault.
Besides I only want bots for offline play. I couldn't care less if they were never used on servers. Go Dr. Evil Go.................. Cheers Leon |
Yeah I say implement bots! But try and programme some "human error" into them, e.g. they don't fire accurately 100% of the time.
And hopefully there's some way to keep them off the servers and just reserved for offline play. |
Ah...the age old question...debated so many times I can't see through the cobwebs.
Being a server admin...at this point in time, bots are all that's keeping TFC alive. Bots did not kill TFC...players moving on killed TFC. If servers were full, there would be no need for bots. I would much rather play with real people...but it's nice to know you can go on a server and snipe some bots to stay sharp. "Fake Full" and real bots...are two completely different things. Fake full is just a plug-in that gives the "impression" of players and/or bots...but there's no bots actually playing. Real bots, on the other hand, can be set to be suckie or great..how they're set and how many are used is a careful balance. When I watch the bots on my server conc across the map or rocket jump onto the battlements...well, I just think that's pretty cool and realistic competition. They'll definitely keep you sharp. Tbh...bots would be a big boost to FF right about now, seeing how few real players are playing. |
I'm working on getting bots finished enough to release for FF. Just about there.

Keep up the good work! |
Bots (partially) killed TFC.
|
For you probably, yes.
Bots don't kill games, they're only packets of codes. |
