Quads

Cousin has one of those. Took it for a "spin" (by that I mean six hours of intense riding around in his backyard and a bit on the road).

To continue the thread title: Are fucking awesome. Who agrees?

I agree. As soon as I get my son's orthodontics paid off (june/july) I will likely be getting quads for both of us.

Be sure to get him a manual, they're so much more enjoyable than the automatic I drove (Polaris Scrambler). However, that Sport in the picture is pretty powerful, make sure he learns to respect the machine.*

*And not control his speed soley with the clutch. *guilty*

Unfortunately I think most of the junior sized ones are automatic which will be better for him anyway.

Destroy the fun :(. But my cousin started with automatics at age four, so it shouldn't be too bad. Just get him on a clutch when you can, there was a world of difference between that QS 400 and the Scrambler they had... which broke down on a turn.

Quadbikes make for awesome bone breaking accidents. Fact.

I'm looking to get an intel quad here soon

Given my son's impairment the automatic may, likely, be a permanent thing. But anything I can do to help him with this type of activity will help tremendously. As goofy as this sounds...I think that all of the driving he does with me in BF2 has helped his spatial perception and processing tremendously. A quad with an AT may help as well as it will be, in many ways, similar to the driving he does in game...just with no respawn...

My dad drove a quad drunk. He hit a log, fell, and the quad ran over him. He broke a couple ribs and had a tire track on the back of his shirt.

Yes. My dad gets so drunk, he hits himself when he's driving. Now that takes years of drinking to build up that kind of skill.

When you don't know how to ride, yes they do.

FrenchToast 04-22-2008 01:18 AM

My quads are driving me nuts 'cause no matter how much I squat, they don't seem to be getting much bigger. They're getting way stronger, I've upped my weight from 100 lbs when I started to now 150 for 4 sets of 6-8, but no noticeably size difference :(

What ever happened to the good ole 3 - damn wheeler...........

I loved those so much and they would float in water. How damn cool was that? Me and my three wheeler just a rockin down the path. The some dumb ass people said that they were dangerous and I was never hurt by them except when I turned sharply and rolled one.
