I reworked some things, the button, the yard, the signs, and env_cubemaps. I'm still having trouble with the button model showing up darker, any hints as to how I can get the model to show up brighter are welcome.

Let me know if it is too dark, it looks good on my computer but I may have my brightness/gamma set higher than most people.

Some feedback while looking at the map:

Most of the map looks awesome, then there are a few areas like these that could use tweaking:

In addition, it looks like you missed a texture or two:

Also, Security woould probably work best with the default security button, took me awhile to realise this was it:

My only other gripe is that the yard looks unfinished, though I'm sure that will get better in later releases. Overall looks like a very interesting little map to play.

Yeah I need to give some more attention to those areas and to the yard, although its no excuse, I just lost a lot of steam on the project.

Wow I'm not sure what happened to those textures. They show up fine on my game. Maybe the texture is used in a map that you don't have? Either way I need to find a different arrow texture I suppose.

Thank you so much for walking through the map and taking the time to give back some constructive criticism. I plan on reworking some areas of the map tonight and tomorrow.

If you're using a prop_static try using the "Lighting Origin" class value pointed at an info_lighting to get it to work better with your lights.

The only way I can get the model to appear in game is if it is assigned as a prop_dynamic and I can't find the class value "Lighting Origin" in that entity.

LOL, i agree it doesn't look like it belongs there compared to the rest of the map



Edit: Also, you might try pulling the model away from the wall a little bit. I think the origin is inside the wall and it cant get any light

Yea I like that grass texture, but it clashes way too much with the rest of the textures used, imo.
