Wireless Network Card Help?
Hey gang,
I've got a Belkin F5D7000 Desktop G Wireless network card in my PC right now. Trouble is, the PC won't detect it. It won't auto detect it, and it won't detect it when I run the 'add new hardware wizard' (and I cant find 'wireless internet card' to add manually). I rebuilt my PC and everything is running excellently - except for this, so arg, please help! Things I've tried
I've done some diagnostics, and the 'loopback' is the only one that 'passes', while all other shiat fails. Any ideas on what the hell I can do to get this card working? It used to work just fine, but now that my machine can't detect it... |
Vista or XP?
FWIW, according to what I read, you have to install the drivers without the card being physically installed. Then physically install the card... A few more suggestions: - try a different PCI slot - make sure the pci slots are configured in bios to be active - Quote:
p.s. There are multiple versions of that card with the same model number... make sure you got the correct drivers. |
So I enabled 'plug & play OS' in my bios then I tried a different PCI slot (after uninstalling the drivers) and it worky! w00t, back to mapping city!
