Was planning to but... just didn't bother in the end. Going to Leeds fest instead because pretty much everyone i know is going. Download, maybe 2 or 3 people are.

Metallica factor was there too because I have yet to actually see them.

Metallica sucks these days. I feel sorry for ya dude, but you missed your chance with them. They kicked ass back in '91 when I saw them.....but they were lamers when I saw them in 2000.
They have lost what they once had.....balls.

They definitely tamed down since their heyday way back when but I still like their live shit. Hopefully they won't dick up their new music with the last crap style they attempted.

TBH out of the whole weekend i would only want to see Kiss, Priest and Motorhead and that's probably because i'm old. :)

nah etzells right. motorhead, in flames, and apocalyptica are the only bands on there that dont blow.

Yup, still gotta see them though. I've heard they've dropped the whole St Anger thing anyway so that's a step in the right direction at least.


You'll be lucky to get lots of decent bands together anywhere in the UK, so it's pretty much the best that we're gonna get on a large scale. Think there are a couple of alright mini-festivals around... :?

Screw it, go to Belgium for Graspop. It's better, at least, in the past the lineup has been.
