The download for the server files are corrupt. It can't CRC.
 

Edit: I tried downloading the previous version and then applying the patch,but it still gives me a shitload of missing files, like DLLs but it actually works but it didn't appear on the serverlist so I looked it up and I had to put a legacy command in or something. Now it shows up and the serverlist,but it says the version is too old!



I tried to run an SRCDS server for this on my home PC, but It doesn't work.
I downloaded the FULL server files thing(not the patch), but when I extract it it gets an error on a certian part,it says it can't CRC the files.
Then when I start the server it shows a lot of errors. Then when I go to fortress forever, it's under my favourites but not on the server list. When I join it it doesn't work right and It says the game is out of date ,but I downloaded the latest files so It thinks my isntallation is out of date because of the corrupt files.
I can run a TF2 server with SRCDS flawlessly on this PC so it's really about the files.

I'd suggest just removing all the files from the FF directory, then using the full 2.45 server patch. Make sure it's the server files too, not the client files as they are different.

I tried that. Here's the problem.
Without a server cfg it starts up, shows up in the server list but has a password/different name.
If I do have a server cfg( doesnt matter what I put in it) it shows up only in my favourites and not on the server list. If I use this fix http://forums.fortress-forever.com/s...ad.php?t=23451 it does show up in the server list, but says it's out of date(or the other way around, it could be saying that my game is out of date but it isn't)
I dit FortressForever_2.44_Server_Full and after I extracted FF_2.45_Server_Patch on it. yet it still does the same thing.

edit: when I run the server, it does say f-server version 4044, not 4045 but I really did apply the patch.

im having problems too with updating a server with the 2.45 patch. It says its not updated and the problems im having in the server are that the flag location security etc are not working (like on the pickup server)!!

edit: its fixed now. turn off the server before updating>:O!

I had the same problem until NFO apparently updated the server dll file, which is locked on their end. Once they updated and the map switched, all my HUD disappearances were fixed and I no longer get the message saying the server is out of date.

What's NFO? and how do I update the server DLL file? I've tried extracting the different zip files and overwriting tons of times but it just wont work

nfo is a server company.

try shutting down your server first before updating it from 2.44 to 2.45

Look, in my server folder I deleted the FortressForever folder.

Fortress Forever 2.45 FULL [SERVER] Fortress-Forever.com (.ZIP) from the site (FortressForever_2.45_Server_Full.zip) I put it in my server folder, clicked extract here. Then it made a new FortressForever folder. I click my SRCDS Guardian 3.bat ,it runs and says it connects to the master server. it's on the server list but there's a pasword so I cant get in.
So, I use the CFG from the guide on the wiki http://www.fortress-forever.com/wiki...nstall_a_SRCDS.
I click my bat again.
Now it doesnt appear on the server list, but it appears on my favourites and it actually works but it's not on the server list so I dont know if anyone can join.
Then I used this fix and added it to the CFG: http://forums.fortress-forever.com/s...ad.php?t=23451.

Now If I run my SRCDS Guardian 3.bat and join the server it tells me: '' your version does not match the servers, please restart the game'' even tough my game is updated and I can join all other servers.


Note: The CRC problem is gone since the file has been reuploaded.
