WoW nice map.

this map is very fun i tested it with the map maker himself it would rape for a 2v2

Played it today for the first time, it was a pub enviroment.
I don't think this map was designed for a pub environment, so these opinions would be for making a pub style map of a similar style. The Ring: Problem: many attempts at dropping security are thwarted by the button itself. This makes the map very D-friendly, as the defense only has to prevent a player from making a free jump. -players cannot pass through the ring on an unsuccessful attempt. Possible solutions: Increase the diameter of the ring. This would give a larger margin of error to the offense, thus lowering the bar on the precision and practice required to clear the ring. Prevent the ring from clipping players. This solution would not lower the bar on the requisite abilities to disable the security, but it would remove the drawback of being stopped on an unsuccessful jump. Open an additional route to the flag or Enable a second security button, in an easily defended location This would give the offensive players option the option of disabling security for the quick grab, or to slug it out with the defense for the security or the flag. --------------- Of course it's a WIP, and all the superficial stuff is bound to change, but that is my experience from the 30 minute session today. IMO, in it's current form, it's a cute map for 2v2s, but not conducive to a larger game. Edit: Loved the concept, very fun and very original (to FF) |

I like this maps potential. We have been running it since release, I like the look, and the pace. I have to completely dissagree with you mono, I think that map is all about Offensive Rape. With the accelerator ramps, and the Ginourmus corners, and fluid movement, I had a hell of a time stopping scouts and meds from getting that ring. SG was a joke on that map. I went demo, had some success, but still couldn't stop him. I like the map, because I think its a map that is gonna make people set up Defense differently than before. I was thinking, you would need a hw at the corner/turn, demo on flag, sg and disp up top and below. I don't know about 2v2. I think D with that is nigh impossible with the speed of movement. I for one, look foward to thinking about defense in a different/new way, so I can move the skills I learn from this map to others. I really like it GJ> |
I'd look forward to playing it more to reevaluate.

*UPDATE* *UPDATE* *UPDATE*
Refer to original post for update news. That took about as long as i expected, but I'm on valve time so it's not bad considering. Any additional links would be appreciated. Enjoy the map. Also, would an admin kindly change the name to just ff_sonic and remove the (beta) tag? Thank you. |
An exceptionally attractive and fun map. Real fun the couple times I played it. Great stuff rookie.
|
I definitely like this version better. It feels more compact, easier to get to the other side and +1 internets for labelling the grenade restocking areas.
