Brink
So basicly this game is TFC meets COD and it does look awsome. From creators of Q3F, A fps based on Team play, customization and Skill movement. You will also have experience points wich will allow you to unlock new stuff like silencers extended bullets, laser dot etc. Its Team based 8 vs 8, and you have skill movement In Brink there will be an option to change the look of your character, there are thousands of combinations for you to make your own unique look. U can also tweak your model body type but its does affect the gameplay : The final option is Body Type. This option was saved for last because it is the only customization option that affects gameplay. This option controls the size and build of your character, and there are 3 different body types to choose from: Light Health: Low Power bar: Low Speed/Mobility: High [able climb story tall objects] Weapon selection: Least Medium Health: Normal Power bar: Normal Speed/Mobility: Normal (able to climb around eye-level height objects) Weapon selecton: Average Heavy Health: High Power bar: High Speed/Mobility: Low (able to climb around table-height objects) Weapon selection: All 4 classes avaible: Soldier - The Soldier is your typical frontline fighter, who will lead the charge in battle. Equipment: Specialized grenades HE Charge Ammo Pack Operative - Hack enemy defenses, Command Posts and Sentry Guns, provide battlefield intelligence, and sneak behind enemy lines. Equipment: Specialized grenades HE Charge Ammo Pack Engineer - As an Engineer you can establish and defend tactical zones, deploy and repair objectives, and improve your team's weapons. Equipment: Sentry Turret Repair Device Pyro Mine Medic - The Medic is able to heal both his team and himself. He can also revive downed teammates. Equipment: Healing Grenades Epi Pen (Health Syringe) Med Kit http://www.brinkthegame.com/ http://brink.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page |
Sounds a bit more like W:ET than TFC. I expect that it's going to be shit because it's going to be on the consoles. :|
|
Those dudes came from ETF background so they are implementing some movement skill features and stuff, and thats the main thing for me, need to have some sort of movement skills or its meh for me : P
|
ok, this game officially looks kick ass. holy shit!
|
Once I get my new comp built, this will be one of the first games I buy :D

just imagine if a commercial developer managed to make a multiplayer fps with fun objective based gameplay and featuring genuinely viable deep movement skills that was actually good for both public and competitive play. and then imagine that they managed to make it simple and accessible enough to new/low-skilled players so that anyone can jump in and have themselves some fun. hmmmm, doesn't sound very likely, but you never know.. :)
ze, do you have fingers? if so then you need to keep them all crossed until brink is released pls. ty |

+1 for brink. looks fun.
|
more like an advanced version of mirrors edge
but, there was a real long way to go to make a "realistic" fps game with movement.. doesnt seem like they are there to me |

i liked this quote: "Turrets can miss fast-moving players, but smart Engineers will place them where evading is hard for opponents to manage. [...] When used tactically they are extremely powerful. [...] However, a smart player can always stay one step ahead of them if he’s paying attention to his surroundings". srs? are splash damage saying ff pubbers don't play tactically enough? is brink gonna be good for competitive gaming? is this an internet? |
This game is actually a Trifecta of Mirrors Edge, TFC, and MW.
Movement = Mirrors Edge, Class System = TFC, MW = Game Play. I already have it pre-ordered for PC. It should keep me held over along with Rift until Skyrim (woot!). |
When I first saw Brink it looked rather original, yes a bit TF2ish in the graphics department but rather original with the game-play. Then I played Crysis 2 demo, which also has the ability to climb and slide. And the last 2 days I've played and finished Mirror's Edge. So by the end of this my excitement has greatly lowered as I have pretty much already experienced it.
Are they releasing a bloody demo? I hate they way the expect you to pay for something you're not even sure you like. |
