Hi,

Feel free to post even if you don't think you could participate in playing, but would like to contribute via idling in an irc channel or helping in other miscellaneous ways. Also, don't hesitate to ask questions and contribute ideas here. Thanks for the help and support.

UPDATES - 5/17

Your team needs to have four players. If it does not, you will be placed in the inactive list. Once you get four players your team can become active and resume scheduling.

The fifth and sixth slot for a team are slots for substitute players in case you ever need one. If your team does not have a sub you will be forced to use a ringer. The opposing team can veto your ringer and another player must be found. More information can be found in the rules from 4.3 - 4.5.

You should idle in #ff.league on quakenet to make it easier for everyone to be found, and form teams.

Tell me when you form a team or disband. You can private message me here, find me on irc (#ff.pickup or #ff.league). or add me on steam http://steamcommunity.com/id/rann/ .

Let me know who is in charge of your team, and give me a way to contact you via steam, e-mail, irc, or whatever. I need to know who to talk to to get scores and help set up match times.

Depending on timing I'd love to join in. I would assume this would be over the summer?

We'd sort out the logistics later; everything from play times, season duration, and servers. Right now, I'm just trying to see if there's a least a good portion of people willing to play.

i would like to idle. i will also help to settle interpersonal disputes between players in #ff.therapy

i like the idea of 2 tiers i was looking forward to that before

there are more players so we are in different territory where cake's law of small pool competition doesn't apply anymore. and if we divide it into 2 tiers it will improve things for everyone, so that's exciting. dynamic scheduling should probably still not be used

i can't find the thread on dividing the players into ranks but it had some good ideas. admins would decide which teams were of each (platinum and gold in that case). i think human intervention (as opposed to divine. we don't want god involved in this) on deciding teams or ranks is always the best way. it's not an exact science especially for the burdened but having responsible people use their best judgement has always been the best way to make sure everyone has a good time and things don't get out of hand

My 2 cents: Maybe post a link in the steam discussion forums, or in one of the many FF community groups on steam as well.

A lot of the newer players like me may not traffic here just yet. Unless of course you wanted to flesh some things out first than that makes sense too :)
