If you like long and indepth RPG's, get it. If not, then don't, it isn't for the faint of heart.

It's fun as all hell if you're into those kinds of games.

Graphics are great and the environment is very believable for a post-apocolyptic Washington DC although the colors are a bit washed out.

Great NPC characters. Lot's of crazy people to deal with.

Fairly large world with lot's and lot's of things to explore (don't forget to check out underworld).

I enjoyed the story quite a bit and thought it was very creative. This is the first game i've ever played where you start out as a newborn.

My only complaint is that there's a bit too much dialog and lot's of good guy/bad guy choices to make.

I have a friend who is not into RPG's at all and he loves the game so at 50% off you can't go wrong.

Probably in my top 5 games of all time and HL1 and HL2 take up 2 of those spots.

Fuck, 50 percent off?

Now's my chance to get this, now that my pc can actually run it.

glass 2.0 07-07-2009 01:26 PM

It aint no fallout 1&2 though.

Naw but if they remade it in the likeness of the first two, it wouldn't have sold to this generation of gamers. I've seen people playing it that refuse to play any kind of turn based strategy-ish games.

Everything 07-09-2009 09:51 PM

Bethesda better get their shit together and actually release one of the DLC for the PS3. I've heard that in a several weeks or in a month it'll get something.

We're supposed to get Operation Anchorage... Eventually. But we will probably not ever see Point Lookout or even Broken Steel.

Ihmhi 07-10-2009 02:58 AM

What about PC? Do they get the DLC stuffs?

Lost 07-11-2009 06:13 PM

Oh yeah, lots n lots.

Right side of the page you can see all the DLC currently available. I don't think all of it is free, but it probably is to unscrupulous gamers.

Yeah you buy it through the live marketplace which is interesting. I can use my Xbox account to buy PC content through the marketplace. The easiest way is to create a free live account, load it with some points and clickLIVE when in the game start screen. It's kind of like steam when you use it this way.

Has anyone else besides me ever had problems with the PC version of Fallout 3?

Maybe it's just my pc? I own it on steam as well as a torrent, and it always crashes when it's creating a new game. I messed up my pc last week and sent it in for repairs. (Installed a driver to my video card when it was already updated).
