The greatest thing about this is probably that even if we don't get in, we're probably about *this* close to a release! My guess is 1-2 more months.

edit: you get your steamID when you connect to a server and type status in console

Yeah, I expect its going to take a while. Just out of interest, how is the dev team planning to handle it? Any idea when we might find out? I'd like to conserve my energies so that I can furiously refresh my inbox and the most opportune time.

Ive noticed this forum is very idle-heavy, ie "50 active users, 10 registered and 40 guests" kinda thing when you look at the forum main page.

True, but a lot of people have been lurking around the boards for a long, long time, scrounging around for bits and scraps of information. Now they have a reason to sign up ;)


Speaking of which, I've been waiting for this day for a long time (actually I've been waiting for the damn thing to get released, but never mind that). I'll be sending in an application, and I hope I get in, but I won't hold my breath. Good luck to everyone else though. :)

Yeah I had been watching the forums since about two years ago.. joined semi-recently to actually participate in them.
I usually never check my email.. but now I have a gmail alert on, and the thing opened in another tab. The only thing that got me outa bed was the fact that I could have potentially gotten a acceptance email. I woulda slept in till 2pm

I sent in an application as well. Been watching the site for over a year and I think now would be a nice to participate in the community.
