The things I wouldn't do for an Osaka remake/port aren't worth mentioning. ;)

I've been considering doing an AvD/ID map for a while...and Osaka is definitely on the top of that list. Probably one of my favorite maps from that play style.

What was the name of the coastline ID map for TFC? That one I found really fun to play, wouldnt mind seeing that worked on.

good question. I first thought of tiger, but is it the one where you fly in through a helicopter and land in the shallow waters and have to make your way up the beach through the base?

yeah I'm thinking maybe I should start with a CTF map, because of the symetry. It'd make it easier to practice, and what have you...

Osaka, maya, and the cove

Yes, the cove is the one I'm thinking of. Would love to see that one redone.

There is a seemingly 90%+ complete version of the cove made , but the guy hasn't been around in ages...

He hed problems with the Lua if I remember - wasn't sure how to tie it all together or something. Practically begged the guy to let me help him finish it, but meh, he's not been back. :/

Have you tried PMing/Emailing him? I know its a long shot..

Mappers are always reluctant to give up their map files though (myself included), but wouldnt hurt to try.

i've pm'd him many times over the years, but I sent another one this am when somebody mentioned it. If he doesn't reply I'll try his email as well. I hope he'll give the map over!
