What can this be used for?

Also, the link to the forum isn't working for me.

Does it eventually reset to the actual locations, or does it lock to whatever was last typed in?

And I doubt it would, but does it conflict with say %l?

Once you go to a new location it will update the location. On maps without locations the messages will stay on.

And nope, it doesn't interfere with %l.

Cool beans, but doesn't it changing with new locations sorta limit its usefulness?

I think it just depends how often the server administrator displays a message. People who have played enough pretty much know where everything is; so long as %l is working things are alright.

As for me, I never looked at the locations of the map (except in conc maps that show what jump you're on). If others are like me then this will make the location hud even more useful ;p

But like I said, I think it just depends how much the server administrator has the message display. To often would probably annoy people, I know it would me.
