Double the health? That sounds a bit much, especially for an HW. No uber doesn't balance that out as the strategy would be to buff everyone up with one medic and then have another with uber.
Maybe the engineer will get jump pads.

we may get more players
Valve is adding UNLOCKABLE weapons to TF2. First, what the fuck? this isnt an MMO. Second, yay because people will be pissed and come to FF!

I don't think that is reason enough to assume people will drop TF2 and come running to FF.
When I read the changes coming to TF2 I cringed too, but guaranteed I'm not going to completely stop playing it. It will be something new and different to play and experiment with. Most of the TF2 community will probably do the same. TF2 & FF are so far apart in gameplay. It's only the word 'fortress' that keeps them synonymous with each other. The average TF2 player will not find FF appealing at all, in my opinion. ..and what's so wrong with that anyway? I like the small community here. I wouldn't want 50,000 idiot TF2 kids pudging up our servers. |

Well I think it won't be that bad. TF2 is amazingly well balanced compared to TFC, removal of grenades cleans up the gameplay IMMENSELY, and does help to define each class.

#A word with seven letters
Anyway, this is doing what classes in FF already do - each have their disadvantages and advantages. d: Demo should get a spamcannon that shoots ten sticky bombs at once.

Except it rewards players with too much time on their hands and punishes newbies. It HAS to. If there are no advantages to this new equip, then it won't be used, making this update worthless.
