hl2 map decompile

I have been playing with vmex and looking at some maps and started opening hl2 maps and tried to compile one after deleting the obsolete elements and info nodes and such. The maps will compile (it takes awhile) however will consistently crash FF when trying to start the map. I've had one map successfully compile and let me play it, however it was a few isolated rooms. This leads me to wonder if it has to do with the size of the map compiled essentially verbatim from the original hl2 bsp?

Look at the compile log, gives %'s on areas of the map such as brush face count, ent's used etc.

Also check for errors in the log such as the one in my sig
Prob won't find that one tho
