I'm surprised you've kept your beta tester status with such negativity.

I have quite an extensive marketing plan if you're at all interested. It will take time, and effort to execute properly. I have been investing time in (successfully) gathering resources in order to achieve our goal.

Let's think positive. The vibe people here put out is the vibe new comers will see and reflect. With comments like that, you're self inflicting.

The idea of a league is not only to have the actual league (obviously), but to raise awareness for the game.

If a popular league site such as TWL, IGL (absolute y0) or such hosted a league, all the league players from other games such as TF2, CS etc would see it and they could possibly try out the game because its free. Since these would be competitive players, many of them would be accepting of a high skill ceiling and would try to learn to play.

The problem with the old 2v2 league imo was that it was hosted through Fortress-Forever, so it produced absolutely no awareness.

We need to offer these leagues something in return - which is what I am currently working on.

To me, good maps for 2v2 so far are:

ff_openfire
ff_shutdown2 (No plank)
ff_schtop
ff_destroy (No button, except to deactivate)
ff_xpress
ff_myth

Theres alot more that I can't think of now But people always say there aren't many maps... With this here, if theres 1 match a week, thats already 6 weeks work of matches! Theres many more maps that I am forgetting as well, so thats probably like 8-9 weeks of matches.

yea the score was 8-7 on schrape . we lost in the last 30 seconds with gator swooping the flag from big ramp... I honestly thought we were gonna tie it.

Back to topic. I will talk to squeek about getting a 2v2 division open. After this 3v3 season is done, depending on the success it has. I might open up the 4v4 divsion again. Like I said, depending on how much success the 3v3 has.

2v2 could be very feasible. I will talk with squeek about this and maybe have sign ups open up.

Hi, I'm resurrecting this. I'm going to start and run a relaxed 2v tournament thing. I'm going to offer some minor prizes too (I promise.)

It's a double elimination tournament and I'm using the Challonge site to set it all up. I'm not sure of the map list or anything like that at the moment. This is mainly just to get an insight on interest for a 2v tournament with a small prize pool.

Just to add some more information. It would only take 20 minutes of actual playing time for each match. One 10 minute round Offense vs Defense then switch for a total of 20 minutes.

Also, I'm going to get a list of maps and let the participants vote on them for each match. And if anyone doesn't think they can get a partner I will be their partner. Any other concerns or suggestions feel free to post them here or private message me.
