Is FF on Steams third Party Mods list?

I was browsing through the third party mods and I don't see FF.

I was wondering why this is or maybe I just missed it somehow?

I consider that list waaaay odd. For some reason, Red Orchestra isn't on it as is several other STEAM Mods. It needs updating if you ask me.

I still don't get why so much people play CS and CSS. It is a good game, yeah but come on!

Red Orchestra isn't a HL2 mod - its a full game in its own right.

I REALLY enjoy Red Orchestra. I'd not want to clan it... but it still has a lot to offer.

^Your looking on the wrong list perhaps?^

I'm looking to see if it's on mine. Wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't.

I think much of this has to do with psychology.

You spawn, run for 5 sec, only to get shot, and spec for 4 min 55 sec. You get fragged 3 times in a row, that's close to 15 min, just sitting around. Plus, most people love to snipe. CS is sniping galore. You can snipe someone from across the map with a deagle if you wanted to.

So it's like, if you get sniped with a deagle from across the map 3 times in a row, and get close to 15 min to wondering how the crap they shot you in the face from that far, in addition to the "pwned" taunts they throw in your general direction, i'm sure a lot people will want to stay on to at least get the guy back at least one time, before they leave the server, in order to throw some taunts back.

And come on, being able to shoot someone in the face from a cross the map with a non-zoomable weapon is addictive to some degree.

i think ff would be a lot more successfull if someone ported de_dust to it because apparently people just wouldn't be able to leave that goddamned map even if their life depended on it

come to think of it it would be good fun to play an A/D version of a combined and adapted version of the two de_dusts..

Stayne has done the only adaptation of a CS map to TFC that I know of. It's pretty cool too.

No dear god, please no more dust. I'm still trying to get it out of my shoes.

if memory serves me correct, the old ver of what tf2 would have been had an adaptation of dust, or was that just a placeholder map because they didn't want to take the time to make one ?

Actually, I think you could make a pretty cool hunted style map if you adapted and expanded dust. It's not a new concept, taking a map included in the base game and turning it into a hunted scenario =P. TFC's hunted was made from a section of HL1's singleplayer game. The map was part of the chapter Surface Tension if I recall correctly.
