Oh yeah. It definitely does. Mourning for people you've never met and never will is foolish and insincere. Until you know someone who was involved, you're disconnected.

Mourning for only the people in your town is selfish, if you're disconnected.. thats your own fault.

Someone I knew died in the war... Whatever, he signed up to be fodder. I just realize that people die in every city across the globe, because it's.. ya know... a war.

Oh my God you're retarded. But I promised myself not to shit on the thread. If you want to tell me about your stupid opinions on how someone is personally involved or not, take it to PMs.

I fixed it for you.

When you have a child of your own how you view such things changes forever.

Having a child will change the way I feel about people I've never met? That's also pretty weak.

To those of you crapping on this thread, just gtfo. My brother is also serving in Iraq, and this man is a town hero now. I came on here to respect his sacrifice which means the world to our small town.

I was updated with some more accurate news recently. CPL Stephen D. Shannon, mortally wounded by an RPG, died later in a nearby hospital. If you don't care, gtfo out of this thread.

Did you actually read anything and understand it? Or did you just "Oh he said something that I view as negative.. GTFO" Yeah, thought so.
