Valve sounds

Hey, I've got GFCS and I'm looking for the Valve sounds that plays during the first logo before the main menu loads up. Only thing is I'm having lots of trouble finding it. Anyone know what the file name is?

You can find it in the Half-Life sountrack or a new version in the Half-Life 2 soundtrack. You can either try to buy them or use GCFScape to find them in one of the .gcf's.

I remember doing this a while ago and I'll try to dig up the topic on the Steam Forums.

I've been playing every sound file I can find. I keep getting side tracked and playing with the VOX... I still can't find the main theme though haha

Is it the one with the valve in the guy's eye? The one you couldn't skip in HL without using -dev in the command line? There are two versions and one is very different.

It's the one Sobe just described. I know there are two versions, the secondary one if I remember is of higher quality too.

You could always skip it by esc. And it's -console

weird, I can't seem to find a folder in steamapps for just "half-life 2" I've got the episode gcf's and all the other games, but nothing for "half-life 2"

Curse this file! Well you've all been a big help. I think I'll just have to look harder at this point. It's gotta be there perhaps I'm just in a selective sight mode who knows.

I know it was the surface tension level, when you were walking on the canyon.

I watched someone do it before, but I got lost in the file paths. Temp folder? Cookies?

or am I totally off base.
