Since I'm torrenting a bunch of shit, I didn't download it. Is it a video of the finished product?

I couldn't tell the classes apart, the maps did indeed look shit, and the nailgun model seemed to be a straight port of the q1 model. I was not impressed.

Yeah i was expecting something much better considering its the q4 engine.
The models just looked, poor. They were pretty uninspriring and seemed to lack any interesting details. The maps also looked pretty plain Also is it me, or is the SG animation a bit weird? It seems to be moving its head really quickly and not very smoothly. FF better be much better than that edit - And the music was awful |

the movement animation is way messed up, looks like they are gliding everywhere instead of walking/running. seems like players move like 20 feet with only one cycle of movement animation.

Well I thought it all look fairly well done. I do agree with comments made about the nailgun though, I have never been a fan of the model. Anyway, it looks nice and I guess I will have to try it out some time

What did you guys expect... it's a mod based on Quake4. Of course it's gonna look all dark and metallic.
A game for gothics by gothics. That's what it is. |

If they use all custom textures it doesn't need to retain anything of the original game style that their modding.

Ya but if you play Quake, it means you like the style. So mods made with Quake engines almost always look dark and fugly cause who's gonna mod for a game they don't play.

Thing I still don't get why do they have to have so huge messages for frags. YOU WERE KILLED BY GMAN! I like tfc because the deathmessages were simple and in the corner. For me huge messages like that just draws my attention to unneccessary things...
I didn't like the look of it either. Playermodels didn't seem to be anything unique or special, hardly saw what was engineer and what was soldier. Graphics were poor on playermodels. Maps were exact copies from all previous Fortress mods made for Q3. Which of course doesn't surprise me but when even the mapgraphics looks the same it doesn't hit me at all :F |
