I wouldn't be suprised to see a fourth race like the Xel 'Naga, but there's no mention of it on their webpage. It just mentions the original 3.
There's going to be a lot of crazy stuff coming up, if you remember the way Brood War ended with Duran and his fleet of hybrids. I don't remember if all of them were destroyed, I know some of them were at least. I'm more anxious to see if they are going to bring more info on the Xel 'Naga into the game. I'm so much more psyched on the story than anything else haha. |

I just want to build myself a fleet of Terran Battlecruisers with Yamato Cannons, and go destroy EVERYTHING in site.
I'm really glad they'll be mostly sticking to the formula, though. I hope they make the Medic actualy usefull though.

Read. I hopes this has something to do with SC2, because that is what anyone who beat that map is hoping. Edit: http://starcraft.wikia.com/wiki/Hybrid_%28StarCraft%29 Also interestin'.

a limited unit? It's logical that you don't have more than 1 mother ship

I was under the impression that they're super-units, not unlike the commando, nuke or ion cannon from C&C. How is that different from a hero? No RPG-type crap, for one.
That, and one article (can't remember which) said that the Zerg and Terran "super weapons" won't have a limit, whereas the Protoss are allowed one mothership. |

I'm actually pretty sad about this. I would have been excited about a strategy game, but Blizzard has really disappointed me here. They seem to be milking the SC money rather than starting something revolutionary for the gaming industry.
It appears more like SC with a facelift than a new game. When Blizz has made new games in the past they have seriously updated and changed them. Hell, even Diablo 2 added many more areas, totally different classes, item types, etc. Differences between SC and SC2 seem to be

I'm with suite on this one. There are reasons why people like Starcraft. Beyond that, the game is still in development, and there are already a lot of unit changes that effect game play. Like the ability for certain units to crawl over hills and blockades whereas in the first game you would have to walk around it. Not to mention the protoss teleporter which will alter game play and such.
The game is going to be an efficiant sequal. I'm afraid to be hyped for it, as dissapointment follows, but I really am. |

they need to reestablish starcraft into the new generation before they can throw out new stuff imo. the equivalent of broodwar will undoubtedly follow, with the new units and the such. broodwar was such an amazing addon for its time.
the only thing i didnt like about starcraft was the resource model. i much prefer supreme commander and total annihilation for this. |
