Gib behavior change?

Every video that I've seen of FF has had the same gibbing effect, which is pieces shooting straight up, then falling. In TFC the effect used to throw the gibs in the direction of the destructive energy. If you were gibbed by a snipe, the gibs would blast off straight in whatever direction, and explosion gibs would fly in all kinds of places. This was especially cool in low gravity with body parts and crap flying far and bouncing all over the place.

I was wondering if the gib effect in FF was temporary? Is it possible that this is something that just hasn't been worked on yet?

I don't know what everyone else thinks, but I am pretty fond of the TFC/HL1 gibbing. I wish I was capable of assisting in this, all I can do is ask for it.

I've brought it up multiple times. It's to be changed, but it's "low priority."

It was given to a programmer who joined the team to work on the gib shit, but nothing came of it/him. Still very very WIP. We're not holding up release for it, so yeah..

You should be able to pick up random body parts of a dead person, and use it as a light-damage throwable weapon....like a nade, but it doesn't explode.

You should be able to play the mod without having to worry about a feature you'd never use.

imagine throwing a gib from liek 500 feet away and headshotting some asshole with it it gibbing him to death, taht would a pwns.
