[Resolved]Pub Server Crisis[Ricey is God]

FF peeps -

Our pub servers are diminishing!

Talos is gone, what happened to it? Even though it is a semi-laggy and a non default 2.44 server (spies have emp, HW mirv, etc...) it was the only decent pinging server for east coasters with a nominate and RTV function. Talos and OT are the only popular and non passworded servers we have left and 1/2 of FF's players including me are banned from OT.

The only other servers that have a reasonable ping for me.. (East Coast US)

Lunar landers - (which is pretty fail / boring, I never see anyone in there nor do i enjoy low gravity, zzzzzzz)

Civilian server - Good ping and seems to be a good server but has no rtv or nominate functions, so hell no i am not sitting through that terrible rotation.

All the rest i ping over 150 ms to. Probably west coast US or euro servers, and I will not play Euro, Euros play in US, FF's Birthplace.

Are my pain medications causing a horrific state of delirium beyond not being able to stand properly, or did I just read that Talos has kicked the bucket?!

I'd be willing to research into paying a server provider for an FF server.

Also, now that I'm bringing it up... is there a place where I can donate in the future?

Idea: Have an OFFICIAL FF server hosted by the FF team that allows people to donate to it to keep it running? Have admins who are respectful and fair, and a decent map rotation/rtv/nominate.

I remember when I went through gameservers, they had it setup where I could give my clan mates a link where they could donate directly to our server and I received a around couple hundred bucks to keep it going for a while.

NFO is the same way, which I'll be using. It'll be an official FF Server, stock maps to start. It'll be up by midnight.
