Is anyone else getting this annoyance everytime they restart steam? It also updates steam after. Wierd thing is, its the OLD steam skin... the one from when it was first releaed.

This is gonna sound stupid, but you're not trying to run Steam from its install file are you?

When I first installed Steam on my fresh Windows install, the automatically generated link on the desktop would do this. I don't know why.

Sometimes the Start Menu, too.

Copy/Paste Shortcut Steam.exe to your desktop and see if that resolves the issue.
