can i get old sounds?

ello,
i dont like the new sounds ,when you are jumping and the guy voice for get flag etc.
so my question :can i play with the old sounds and when,what i have to do?

Yes, you can.

If you don't still have the 2.3 scripts and sound folders, you can download them from here: http://www.trepidstudios.com/ff/file..._2.3_Patch.exe
Install it to a folder on your desktop or somewhere NOT in your game's directory, and copy/paste the sentences.txt file in the scripts folder, then in the sounds folder, copy/paste the vox folder.

Or, if you want to disable the announcer entirely (meaning the announcer never speaks but you still get the on-screen text notifications) just read up here: http://forums.fortress-forever.com/s...ad.php?t=20680

Good idea just zip up the folders they need nothing else.

i tryed it with downloading the patch,but then i didnt found the file..so i downloaded version 2.1 and tryed to copy the files from there,but it works not .
The new sounds are still super gay. I dont know why it was changed,all was fine be4 and now i have to spend hours of my life ,to put it back to original.
to my shame i am just a gamer and no pc-profi,so i need a bit help.
plz put the files online ,that i can download it.

To change the announcer sounds:

FortressForever/Scripts/Sentences.txt

^overwrite that file with the 2.3 sentences.txt

To change the jump sounds, download whatever ones you want 2.3 or even quake ones which i now use then put them in here:

FortressForever/Sound/Player/Footsteps/Movement

jump1 jump2 jump3 all to be replaced.

But yes 2.4 should have had an in-game option for sound changing IMO.
