That would do exactly the opposite of what the skimcap exists for.
That's like "hey instead of wrapping that in duct tape why don't you jackhammer it?" Yeah that's what you're saying.

-_-. No, as in increase the percentage that you are slowed after each hop. Somewhere in the last 4 posts apparently what higher was referring to was lost.

right now, the skim cap is 2.0 or, 200%. so if your class is... medic, you move at 320 regularly, you are no allowed to go over 640. if your a heavy, your moving at 240, you cant go over 480. either way, I cant see it really doing much to any classes other than medic and scout. it can, but mostly those classes will be effected the most by it. which isnt a bad thing.

Because it's easy to lose track of which, of like 5, thread you are in discussing it?

The value of the hard_cap variable is 2.0, but because of the hard_cap_degen variable it works out to 1.8...

140% soft cap. You can get to about 160% easily, and the max you can come up off a jump is around 180-185%.
I've only hit the hard cap unaided once, but I'm no great bunnyhopper... the cool thing about getting over the hard cap, though, is that the hard cap affects you instead of the soft cap's degen, so you lose less speed. Pretty neat, anyway.
