what BinaryLife is a good example of the way most people get treated while playing FF. Which wouldn't surprise me if that general attitude is one of the reasons why FF isn't so popular.

I've encountered it so often, mostly on these forums. I haven't played awhile but I sort of remember people wanting to play the game instead of being locked in spawn. How is anyone going to learn to be fast, or good enough if he can't even get out of spawn? Such a shit attitude that kid has.

Richard....it's not that those people have a bad attitude...it's that there's too many things that some FF players complain about. When you stop and think about all the nasty things every class can do to the opposing team, complaining about them becomes pointless.

Where to start and end with it all? SGs built on, or in the enemy Fortress? Snipers on the enemy Fortress? Snipers in general? Dispensers in choke points? Nade spamming the spawns? Defensive infecting? Pyro gang tactics? There's just too much......it's all part of the game, and it always has been. Every class has many strengths...deal with it.

Again...this is not coming from a bad attitude. It's coming from the voice of "if you don't like the bad medicine you're getting, just start dishing out your own." You just can't tell me I'm not allowed to kill you in your own Fortress...that's wussy shit.

Ya, since the spread has been removed it's pretty much pointless for a med to run around and ONLY infect players. Pubs are far less annoying to play on because of this.

For clan play in tfc the only real use for it was to infect a HW at a choke point. Because the HW is pretty much the only defender that can't instantly kill himself, needs to be back in position asap, and in TFC if you typed kill in console it took 5 seconds to respawn. So the HW was the only real class really effected by it.

Now it's more like, well if I can get the demo in the FR infected there might be a small chance you can create a window to sneak in, because he's going to have to suicide, or wait until it kills him. In some maps the demo can't afford even a small window because O can run really fast to the flag.

*Edit* On a side note I would like to see a respawn delay of 5 seconds on a player that manually kills himself through console. Switching classes, and switching back can eat up close to 5 seconds so it don't really matter.

no but really, it has been in there since i can remember.


and richard, that wasnt what binary actually said, that was me taking what he said about the infection and making it into pipe spamming. the point i was trying to prove, which is apparently too far above most of your heads, is that just because a certain thing is coded into the game doesnt mean it can be abused without being considered cheap or lame or obnoxious or other words that describe something you dont like.

Just for the sake of bringing fun back to the game, bring back team infection. I know, the clanners dont like it, but this isnt bout just them anymore. This is about the player base as a whole, I would say that you have way more people that like it than way more people that dont. Its all in the numbers, Me personally, id like to shoot them to death, but if i cant and i can still get close enough to them, im giving them aids..so they can suicide and have to boogie back to their position and my other o partner can swoop in can grab the flag..

Playing solly in TFC, infecting medics quickly found others as they were fragged before they even came close, as for other team members infecting me, it was just a quick suicide and back to bizz. Not that effective imo.

However, a team member infecting spawn on purpose was annoying, and was quickly awarded with a ban for doing so as were medics that camped the spawn door. As long as I was admin anyways.
