Hey everybody,

Well after unagi powering my logitech headphones, im in the market for a new pair. The only problem is, the model I hiadukened I cant seem to find anywhere. So now that ive given up looking for the same model, i need to find something else.

I am not really tech savvy, from what i heard plantronics are probably the best for my price range. im looking for a pair < 100%

I've been very Happy with my Microsoft Lifechat LX3000. Seems to fit ok and features both left and right ear pieces. No clue about the voice quality for those listening to me...I know they can hear me laughing...just ask Kube...

I use a set from staples, they are staples brand and they are usually 16 or 18 bucks. But I see them on sale all the time for 8 or 9 bucks. At that price they are well worth it.

You've heard me over the mic and it sounds loud and clear right?

Well on my end the sound is good and I can make out people when they are have a decent mic.

Check them out here where they are on sale for 5 bucks.
http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/ca...affixedcode=WW

If it asks you for a postal code use
B4E 1R8

Now that I see them on sale for 5 bucks, I'm considering going up and getting an extra pair just for back up, though I doubt I will need them.

You do sound fine in game. I would just point out that Nukem is in the US. That 5.00 headset will cost him 50-60...

What are you worried about? Isn't your mic on 100% transmit anyway? lmao

Actually no it wouldn't be. Even if he couldn't get the same headset at a local staples/officedepot or staples.com then someone shipping him that headset from Canada would only be at most 15 or 20 bucks and thats the cost of the item, box for the item, shipping charges and the 13% taxes on everything (if it was done here in Nova Scotia, cheaper in other provinces)

But it does sound like he would prefer a better/more expensive headset. Though it is kind of funny cause I have heard people complain about their 40 to 120 dollar pair of headset and yet all my friends that have this same headset all have had no problems with them.

I do think though if he can get them locally its better because if there is anything wrong with them they are much easier to return/exchange.

I was just making a joke as to how bad the exchange rate has slid with the Us Economy struggling and all.

Koss headsets are great and they don't cost too much.

I'm using the Koss SB/45 and I sometimes don't know when to stop using the mic.

Sorry, still getting used to the fact that the Canadian dollar is almost on par (or in some cases higher), I'm not used to the jokes being about things going to the us being more expensive. lol

I'm used to "oh so that thing is worth 100 bucks Canadian, thats like what, 3 bucks American?" lol

Or
"You mean the multicolored monopoly money you use up there? Its actually worth something?" heh

I use a 10 or 15 buck mic I bought from Radio Shack a good 5 or 6 years back. I use my randomly-found Philips speakers for sound.

I know radio shack sells a $15 cheap head set that my friends have had different experiences with with. I would say you are better off buying good headphones and a separate mic so that you can use them for things besides gaming without having to worry about the mic.

But I'm not a heavy gamer now-a-days since my computer is shit.
