When I was building this I was zoomed into the grid the whole time, once I finally finished it was like... "Done! *zooms out* whoa, a watch!". Tidbits are fun to tell And about that entrance question... you'll see soon enough :P |

It's been quite a while since I've posted an update on this map. Work on it has been pretty slow and that's mainly because there isn't any sign of a release date for FF which, for me atleast, means no rush to finish the map. I've done a bit of work on the base front design and thought I'd post some development shots. Please keep in mind that these are development shots and a lot will probably change as the inside of the base takes shape.
Enough talk, time for screenshots! This is the pit below the dual bridges entering the base (you'll see in the next shot). The pit is deep enough that falling in will kill you . It's filled with smoke so you'll just have to take my word on how deep it is This shot is an overview of the basefront. It looks a little plain now but after the inside begins to take shape I will be able to modify things a bit which will hopefully give it a more functional look. The lighting isn't quite the way I want it so expect that to change aswell. The rounded catwalk type thing may or may not be a capture point, I'll have to see how the inside of the base takes shape before I decide on that. Here is a view from the cliff area. The cliffs will be used as a way to get from one fort to the other without having to take the bridge. The water doesn't have any water access yet and I really dont have plans for it, it's another thing that will have to wait for the inside of the base before anything is done. I hope everyone likes the development so far, comments are welcome. |

I'm glad to see the response it's getting so far. Now I can't wait to finish off the inside along with a few of the other things I wanted to do with the outside.
Thanks for the compliments |

With a map this sexylicious, you need to have a secret room with credits.

In my old facility maps I used this as my signature and proof that I am infact the original author of the map.... I know my forum name is JDCruz but my original screenname is shaggy. I also know that someone else named shaggy lurks on these forums and I can assure you, he's got nothing to do with the Facility maps. I will be keeping with the secret signature in Facility3 but I can't say for sure that it will be in the same place because everything is getting reworked and I doubt the stairs will stay as they are. If you want to see the signature for yourself you'll need to be the HWGuy and figure out how to jump into the window ledge. On one end of the window (in the screenshot it would be the end to the left) is a trigger that makes the signature pop up. This signature only pops up if the HWGuy walks into the trigger; no other class will work. Why HWGuy? The HWGuy is the hardest class to get into that window (see for yourself ) so I figured that would be the best choice. |
