Would love to be a tester and have beta tested a few games before DAoC back in the day and atm Warhammer online would love to test this also but it's not the end of the world if you don't at the end of the day its gonna come out anyway but would be nice to be able to say you put some imput into it even if it will be in a small way.

My sistem is pretty shitty, not old though. But I do have to run css with everything on low and @ 800x600 and I still get some shitty fps.

I'm sure they have a couple thousand applications to sort through... you probably won't hear a response for at least a week. I'm thinking they already had new beta spots picked out before the announcement -- but front page news about betas will shut people up for a while.

I'd do the same thing.

On a side note, I didn't even bother to apply for a spot. Just think what that'd do for my esteem, losing a beta spot to a sexually confused 16 year old. I did, however, apply for the programmer position.

Hi guys,

We havent accepted anyone yet. We've had around 160 responses so far, 6 have been shortlisted. When we know what proportion of people we're gonna take then we'll start either shortlisting a few more or disapproving some of our shortlisted ones. I expect we'll end up taking around 20-30, then possibly more.

At the start we'll probably take only the most suitable apps, then we might start taking more afterwards. So don't get your hopes up, but don't lose all faith if you don't get in straight away. We'll try and get an update in the next few days.

For this reason we aren't going to email people who don't get in, as we may bring them on at a later date.

Not that it's exactly "old" it's old, but my videocard is fucked up it was 128 and now it's only 64 mb lol. But on that note you inspired me to at least apply.

It would be nice if the FF staff sent a PM to those who got in, when they send the email. I don't want to accidently lose the email, even though that never happens, but still >.> I'm a little paranoid. I've even made a folder and filters that have all emails coming from fortessforever and fortressforeverbeta going to that folder >.> and I'm STILL twitching a little. Yeah.

Hey, new person here. I just e-mailed my submission... hopefully I can help out. Unfortunately, one of the big checks against me (that I hope won't be held against me too hard) is that I had a difficult time figuring out my Steam ID. While I've played a bunch of TFC and HL1 multiplayer, I didn't play much using Steam, and finding my ID was confusing (even following Steam's tech support page). I swear, the number changed during games

Whatever the case, here's hoping for FF's success!

Go into a server and type Status in console, your id will appear next to your name.
