I'm very interested to see some of the new features that the orange box source has. Maybe a video sometime soon? Or shortly after 2.1 has been released? bases is coming along really well. I'm liking it a lot and can't wait to play it in leagues. And new cz2 +demo det area = win.

I left out Jiggles' "straight down shadow projection" code, cause all the shadow code got reworked by Valve...whether that means better shadows or not, I dunno...I imagine I still hate Source shadows.
Do they suck in Orange Box? I can't even remember...haven't played TF2 in a long time. And yeah, the cz2 CC was updated....teleporters instead of flags, cause the flags were moved to the base beams, which are now flag dispensers. |

What is so special about in-game real time motion blur? That would be completely ridiculous to use in a regular game...

As for waterpolo, uh...I dunno. The expensive water's gone now and I made some other tweaks. I'm not sure if the same FPS hits are still there or not. It might be the fact that everyone's playing in water...all the splashing and whatnot. I have no clue, we need to playtest it with lots of players. |

In waterpolo we noticed a lot of problems when ragdolls hit the water. Could be something to do with that?
Also, I just came a little. 8====D~

The thing is, I've never really given waterpolo the proper attention it needs. It was just a port of our TFC version. Then it got put in one of the releases. Then I just expanded it to be more like ukfootie, by removing the spawn rooms, adding rounds with an invisible wall, and making the arena bigger. I haven't ever done any real mapping for waterpolo, though...the brushwork is still basically the same TFC brushwork, for example.
But I agree, a version of waterpolo without the water (ukfootie) would be a good thing to have officially. I know there's already a community-made remake of that, so maybe we should just throw that in the next FF release. Or make a new one, I dunno. The waterpolo/ukfootie gameplay's too much fun for people to be missing out simply because waterpolo the map destroys FPS for most people. Quote:

Hint: it's a bone that jiggles.
It's handy for fat people and chicks without bras.

Our heavy isn't even fat (which sucks btw) so it's no use really.
