Only if you touch-type, though... I do half-assed touch typing and that would actually be a real pain for me.

This is actually better for you because your wrists should naturally wrest on their sides (i.e. - NOT how you use a keyboard) when it comes to ergnomics IMO.

I'll type one handed from time to time, though. I don't want more distance... or have to memorize that added distance either. [typed with my left hanf at about 75% the speed of 2 handed. whoooo.]

I've been studying the lay-out a bit (insomnia sucks) and put my hands in this position for about 5 minits and it felt really good (maybe a tip for hardcore gamers with shitty wrists) so that means it must work.

It's good on paper, but with your hands sideways there's less presure on actualy typing. Not to mention that with the seperation of the two sides to great an angle the brain will have trouble adjusting as to where the keys are. Even if they're in the same place different hemispheres are needed to understand both sides in that particular case (I think).

More importantly, at least to me, is that pushing sideways instead of down would be bad for my comfort by far.
