Movement changes/addtions, any tip, tricks or tuts?

I used search and although I am sure it's already in here somewhere I can't find it.. (link me if you can)

I was wondering what the different types of movements there are, how they have changed from TFC and if someone has described how to perform some of them.

I know there were mentions of training maps.

Will we ever see them? (or are they included and I just missed them by begin a nubtard?)

here's a short list

bunnyhopping - same as cpm, tfc, etc, but you have a soft cap which means you can go over the limit and gradually come back down, especially off concs or ramps
doublejumping - if you jump on a raised surface and jump again, it will do a bigger jump
rampsliding - conc/move fast enough on ramp to slide up it, crouch at the end to rampslide
trimping - i think just bunnyhopping/concing/whatever over "lips" will do this
rocketjumping/grenadejumping/pipejumping - same as tfc

For bunnyhopping, you now only need to hold down your jump button (default space), release after jump and hold again. In other words, you no longer need a script or any other config changes to do it perfectly. Mousewheel still works, but the new method gives you 100% accurate jump timing.

All you have to do to perform a double jump is jump and then jump again immediately off of a higher surface.

If anybody is still in any doubt, here's a pretty crudely executed diagram:

You don't need to crouch to rampslide in FF.

Double Jumping occurs when you jump, then jump off something again within a certain amount of time. 99% of the time this is because you are going up a ramp / jumping off a higher surface. It can happen at other times too though.

Ramp slides are done automatically when you hit a ramp with a horizontal speed. Once you slide to the top of the ramp you will automatically slide smoothly off it. However, when you are sliding up a ramp, you can press jump if you wish, and this will "launch" you off the ramp, just like a jump, except higher. This is called trimping (i believe, correct me if I'm wrong).

Ok, call me a noob, but I couldn't do rocket jump with soldier's bazooka. I jumped, aimed to the ground while in the air, fired a rocket and - BOOM - I wasn't flying high but I was back on the ground with injuries from the rocket. What did I do wrong?

BTW I didn't played TFC before, but FF is just awesome, playing the spy is so much fun

Your downwards velocity will keep the Rocket from propelling you upwards again. But you can always rjump up, then bounce off the wall with another rocket to cross maps faster.

the more speed you have the higher it will be, so bunnyhop or glide or even just jump or run forward and do it

You have to fire your rocket downwards and jump at the same time(or very nearly the same time). You can change the angle and timing to do various different types of jumps.

For trimping, hit a ramp or sloped surface at speed and jump off of it. Some of your speed will instead become height, and you'll jump higher. Or, jump down a ramp, then jump off the ramp for a horizontal speed boost.
