Thats a hardware issue, most likely you have faulty ram or video card. Could also be caused by overheating, or at the rarest case motherboard or cpu.
Try pulling your ram out 1 stick at a time and swap them out to see if it fixes it, and try another video card. |

Try other games and see if it's happening there.

There are many possible issues for this one. There are two possible issues that can be eliminated fairly easily.
First, restart your computer. As your computer is booting up, go into your boot menu. Usually the startup tells you what key to push, but in the event that it does not, it is usually F1, F2, or Delete. Now, check if your BIOS has something named "PC Health" or something like that. If you do have it, it will tell you the temperature of your motherboard and your processor. If either is over 70 degrees Celsius, then you have a cooling issue. If they are below 70 degrees Celsius (idle for most computers would be 30-50 range), then start up FF and get your computer to reboot. When it does reboot, hit your BIOS key and check if the temperatures are high. If not, then it is not a cooling issue with your case. (It could still be a cooling issue with your video card, however.) If your motherboard or processor temperature is not unusually high, the next step would be to run a Checkdisk scan. There is a possibility that a file in Windows is corrupt somewhere (something with DirectX yadda yadda) that might need sorting out. Go to your start menu and click on Run. In the window that comes up, type in Code:
command After the black box loads, you will be presented with a command prompt. It should look something like this: Code:
Microsoft(R) Windows DOS (C)Copyright Microsoft Corp 1990-2001 C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1> Code:
chkdsk /f Code:
The type of the file system is NTFS. Cannot lock current drive. Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N) Code:
y Code:
This volume will be checked the next time the system restarts. C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1> Code:
exit Let it run all the way through and wait for your computer to start up. It can take anywhere from 2-10 minutes usually. If neither of these two work, then my best guesses would be, in order: 1) Videocard overheating 2) Graphics drivers corrupted, need to be uninstalled/reinstalled
