Unfortunately, due to "lack of use" the server has been cut and is now a Counter-Strike server. If you like CS you might wanna give it a look, if not don't even bother. Original post follows...

SERVER INFORMATION
LOCATION: Texas, USA.
ROTATION: 2fort or vote
MAP LIST: 2fort, avanti, badlands, casbah, crossover2, cz2, dustbowl, epicenter, flagrun, hunted, monkey_l, mulch_dm, mulch_trench, murderball, openfire_l, openfire_lowgrens, push, ravelin, rock2, schtop, shutdown_l, shutdown 2, warpath, well. Taking recommendations for more maps.
LIMITS: 45 minutes
TEAMPLAY: no team damage

RULES: (also available on the MotD)
- Don't be a dick. Respect other players, and don't discriminate by gender, sexual orientation, skin color, whatever.
- Don't cheat, don't exploit the maps. This includes the infamous nail grenade exploit and the like.
- If you don't like the map, start a vote with "rockthevote".
- Respect the admins (i.e., anyone with a [42h] tag).
- Have fun, for fuck's sake.

I think it's a US thing but I'm not sure. I've always played offence with footsteps on. But when you're bunnyhopping around, it makes little difference. Although it completely removes any use for the walk button.

Timelimit too long imo. Thirty minutes or under. Seen as you can vote extend anyway (or I assume you are able to).

Footsteps need to be ON. Why the hell would you turn them off? They are an important part of gameplay, especially for people on defense.

2fort or vote usually means 2fort 27/7 which sucks. Add a few solid default maps into the rotation at least.

No footsteps was requested first, so I went with it because I didn't care either way. Apparently footsteps would be preferred, so I'll change that.

I'll change it to 30. Also, as it stands I seem to have broken "vote extend." I'll have to take a look and see if I can fix it, but as of right now it doesn't work.

Uhh after about 2 and a half hours of 140 ping with the entire server lagging up to 1000, I've got kinda mixed feelings. Hopefully youll get that sorted. Ohcanep, it's playable if you find yourself a lagless timer. Not perfect, but meh.

Deffo much better with footsteps.

Yeah, working on that right now. If it comes down to it we'll just move to a new host with better servers. Sorry about the lag. It's bugging me at least as much as it bugs you guys.

Although I don't pub nor am I going to ever play here, I suggest you turn off alltalk - it has no reason to be on. I also recommend that you turn on team damage and change the limit of the hwguy to one. Good luck with your pub.

Heh. If you're never gonna play there why bother giving suggestions? I like the alltalk, makes for a friendlier atmosphere. Team damage is fine and so is the HW limit as far as I'm concerned. If you actually played there I might think on your suggestions a bit more (or if someone who does play there gives some input). I think you're missing the point of the server, though. I wasn't really shooting for a serious, clan-oriented sorta deal (although if someone wants to organize a game on it, I'll do that for them). I wanted a server where people from the forum could play TFC together and just have fun.
