It's a sad thing tyranids weren't put in soulstorm, also i think relic has announced dawn of war 2, hopefully they'll be in that one.

Resources in CoH are dependent on how much territory you control. Each area you take over nets you a certain amount of a resource as well as increasing your population cap by a certain number. The game is a nice mix of RTS meets Blitzkrieg where you can build units but each unit matters a ton. Sadly, games generally come down to who gets tanks first, although a smart player can easily counter them while he hordes resources.

Dawn of war is too micro intensive for some races (imperial guards and elar), and almost none for others (necrons).
