Fortress Points
Fortress Points,
What are they? a form of score, or will certain "unlocks" be supported later? because I believe that if unlocks are added it will cause extremely horrible balancing issues. Hopefully its just a score thing. /3l1t3 |

well, not if its unlocks say things like the mod for doom , skulltag, where it unlocks player skins... say you get 10000 points in a game and you unlock a patch that goes on your back that says i rockzorz your sockzors

Yeah, unlocks i can imagine...

The idea of Fortress Points stemmed from the fact that too many people were considered with k:d ratios in earlier TF games. With the FP system your score isn't so much tied to your kills, instead it rewards you for your efforts working in a team environment.

I've noticed that sometimes the scoreboard will count kills/deaths, but not fortress points.

I like the points, and that it displays +points and what they are for, like reparing a sg or healing someone.

I'm not sure if this is already implemented but you should get FP for killing flag carrier or defending flag (i.e. killing someone near the flag)

my feeling is that people will still look at k/d ratios. once fortress points are sorted and balanced, i'd like to see the k/d columns removed altogether, and replaced by fortress points.

or keep kills and replace deaths with flag touches and maybe add flag caps. i really like the ff points.
