The Lucasfilm thing shows me that this is serious, but something doesn't feel right...

Is this meant to be on par with the other films - part of the whole saga? Or is it a spinoff thing. I guess if it's based on a cartoon then it is.

Well, I was around when the original Star Wars was released. At 10 years old, I was in the targetted demograph for the movie.

I enjoyed the original trilogy. As for the new trilogy, I enjoyed them too! I do wonder what influence technology would have had on Lucas, had todays CG been available to him back in 1976.

I don't see a major problem with this new "adventure".... but I was under the impression that it was going to be unrelated to the main characters from the movies.

I can't say I'm thrilled with a CGI story, but as long as it doesn't try to re-tell anything already established......

Im not looking at this as a part of the 'Star Wars Saga' i see this as more of a sidebar, a way to attract younger kids to the already established movies. this movie will mostly likely not continue the Saga in anyway but rather fill in some gaps that people missed from not watching the cartoon, i.e. general grevious. i also don't expext much blood or gore, i can imagine there will be plenty of killing, but that goes for pretty much all the starwars movies.

I'm not really impressed by the CGI.. Some of the scenes look like cut-scenes from a current generation fps game.. jerky animations, (seemingly?) low res characters.. some of this can be countered by the "creative license", or the cartoony style, but i've seen better cartoon cgi movies. i'll probably watch it anyway though.. gotta keep up

Star Wars I, II and III were sooooo bad. especially III with it's high school play like acting. the CG was crap in all of 3 and that jack rabbit half toad looking freak Jar Jar was totally useless.

All CG Star Wars?? fail.

You completely have a right to your opinion, don't misunderstand what I'm about to say: You are not a Star Wars fan.

Enjoying 1,2,and 3 to a level that is better than 4,5 and 6 implies a limited connection to the story and the characters as well as the universe that it all takes place in. It's not meant as an insult just an observation as I assume you consider yourself to be a fan of the series.

As far as the new all CG goes: I'll say it again the CG isn't what makes it bad. There are plenty of things that are entirely CG that are good. It also doesn't imply that it will childish. There are plenty of things that are entirely CG that are adult oriented, other than porn (Beowulf). What makes it bad is Lucas. Lucas cannot make good things anymore. The new Indiana Jones is an example of Lucas being bad. Someone needs to smack him on the nose with reel for Raiders of the Lost Ark and say "NO! Bad Lucas!"
