How bout a crumb of what you have done so far ?
Alot of us have no idea the amount of time the coding takes to create a game and what its involving. So could you, the Dev team, give us a crumb ? i.e. We have "said" class finished now guys with # more to go, or we have "said class and special feature 1" done and are moving in the direction of ....
As far as maping we have "said" maps done... As well as the models and skins for "said" weapons and classes Any kind of partial update would be great, I know your busy and were pestering ya, but if it wasnt that good of an idea to do, with alot of old school fans, you prolly wouldnt have alot of traffic. Keep up the good work and dedication. Seems like every time I check a Doom3 site another wanna be semi serious mod team is quiting. |

There has been at least one media update a week, this week we moved server boxes to a bigger badder better one. Hence no media update. Are weekly media updates not frequent enough for you?

Any update is better than no update. But can you honestly blame us for wanting to see what you see? This is possibly the biggest thing to happen to the Source and TFC community since...HL2. Do not rush, I'm impatient but the less time you spend trying to feed us the faster the mod comes along. Give us some here and there like you have though

I'm actually suprised at the frequent rate that the media is being released-- very, very nice. If it stays at this pace, I'll be very content.

The updates we have had so far are more than enough, if you have followed the birth of any mods previously Anshinritsumai then I am sure you will have noticed the frequency of outputted information is well above average with ff. And as for the given examples of information you say they should give us all of that can be found on the forums already (even if it is just a "we haven't started work on that" comment)

We're trying to give updates frequently. We're also not hiding information, but this is like building a house -- laying the foundation sometimes seems a little boring but after time you'll see something spectacular

Indeed once a week is enough and more than youll find pretty much any other game/mod give you.
Some sort of rough estimate on how long ie months 6 months a year would be nice, but then they could end up setting false expectations and dissapointing people. To use another metaphor.... Quote:

i know it but the name eludes me.
i'm really happy with the amount of updates we get, some dev teams would say they will give u updates, then dissapear on a drunkin drug induced orgy with 8 year old boys for 6 months. leaving u sittin there goin "wtf happened?" so, in conclusion, if they ever dissapear for an extended period of time we know what there doing |

hee hee. Expect more updates... and as soon as we can provide a completion estimate, we will. We're hesitant to give a date right now because we don't want to disappoint if we don't meet it. |

I think it might be cool to have a progress bar graph on the side of the page, like "Coding: 30% .. Mapping: 50% .. Sounds: 45%" etc. and then have at the bottom a "Projected Release Date", which, at this point would probably say "TBA"
It might very well alleviate many of the questions about release dates, what is done on this, what is done on that... |
