What's up with Valve anyway?

Well, let me say 'Thank You' to the DEVS for taking on a project that for some reason Valve can't complete. Even though you can't provide us with an update as much as we would like, it's still more than we hear from Valve regarding TF2.

Anyone have any idea why Valve has not been more aggressive with the TF2 project?? I would think as well as HL2 has sold, they would have more resources available at their disposal. Unless, I guess, there are other MODS/Projects which are more important??

Not to mention the half-life2 website lacks. It's basic, and it's nothing more than adspace to sell the game. Where's the community support?? No real news, no community dev info, no community maps. Maybe I missed something.

CaptMeatball, welcome.

There are a few posters (and you know who you are) who try and "greet" everyone with certain "catch phrases" of their own invention.

And I don't believe that the banter up there ^^^ was any reference to you... 'tis only the children having one of their little teasing spats to gain attention of the parental authorities on the forums.

Enjoy the forums, and you might want to a) read the faq, and b) search for similar threads using the "search" function up at the top before you post.

Not to discourage you in any way, but please realize that these forums have been up for a while, and tons of things (including TF2) have been discussed at length over that time. Hence the request to use the search function to see if there already is a thread started for you to post in rather than create a new one.

I did do a search for 'Team fortress' and didn't find any relevent info on this board.

I've also done a search on the web and have not seem any recent information. Just thought maybe someone on this board had an idea.

I guess there are post-whores everywhere you go!

I think the mindset of a new poster here is, if they *do* find a thread that is relative, and may contain several pages or too old, the poster feels that their msg may not be read compared to one that is brand new.

Im also guessing that half the newcomers dont read the "read the faq first" post, Right away at least. maybe a new approach is in order *shrug*

Hows about a sticky for people to make their first post / indroduction?

People who use catch phrases are not funny, nor are they witty. They just suck.

Anyways, Im surprised anyone still gives a damn a bout TF2.

I think it isn't so much that TF2 isn't important, but more that it has been delayed so long that it can wait. While CS:S and HL:2 and DoD:S (games that have been selling within the past years) will bring in more money because alot of people already know what they are going to get. Not everyone bought HL2 to play HL2. I know tons of CS people who bought it for CS:S and the same for DOD:S or plan to buy it upon release. I'm sure TF2 will sell if it is ever completed. But I doubt it will be something that goes nearly out of stock on release day. The same can't be said for the other three.

[catchphrase]Doyooooooo!!![/catchphrase]

I would personally buy every single copy of TF2 if I could, if that would make valve hurry up and make it.

Same deal for the firefly movies.
