Half-Life 2 Done Quick: 1hr 35m
http://s7.invisionfree.com/HL2DQ_Tem...?showtopic=147
The latest Half-life 2 speed run. Group effort by ~7-10 of us. around 40m faster than the previous run by marshmallow. Something I found quite amusing was on a certain forum, a certain Circuitous posted on a thread a while back: Quote:
Im also hoping that its the Circuitous that spends half his time in these forums! edit: Done on HARD difficulty Last edited by o_magz; 03-30-2006 at 03:37 PM. |

Yup, that was me. Watching now.
Ha. Magic actor teleportation. What forums did I say that on, anyway? I can't remember now. I said that not knowing you could push actors to their next segment.

The fact that a speedrun still takes an hour and a half kinda ruins it for me :P
Good effort nonetheless! |

Thats a sweet speed run, but nothing beats the Goldeneye speed run. I think it was like 47 minutes without dying once in 00 Agent mode.
Yikes! |

lol valk ^_^
It is in the process of being added to SDA. To Defrag; I know exactly what you mean, 1hr30mins doesnt seem particularly "speedy" however, if you watch the vid you will see that it is extremely fast. I am almost positive that it could be done sub 1hr if it wasnt for all the waiting around for NPC conversations, we try and speed it up as much as possible by bonking them on the head as much as possible, but it still takes quite a while, and slows down the pace of the movie Think it was the HLComics forum or something similar Circ hard difficulty luminous ofc |

Yeah, 1h30 may sound like a lot of time but it's really not, and although it gets kind of slow between the middle and middle-end, the vid is extremely fast-paced and the tricks never stop coming. Definitely a good watch if you are into that kind of stuff.
