What should I do?
I have been trying to get my friends to play this with me, but they are too pulled in by TF2 for only one reason... They normally suck ass at all online games, so when they played TF2 and immediately did well, they became addicted to it. Then when they tried out FF for the first time (with no previous TFC experience) they got their asses handed to them.
I am annoyed because I dislike TF2, all the skill involved to play the game has gone out the window, but my friends like to play it... Any ideas that will perhaps get them addicted to FF instead? (Like what classes/maps/server should I put them on to get into the game more) |

I would say find an empty FF server and go on with them and run around. Have them try all the classes out. And maps. You never know.

I think bots are being coded for FF. If your friends play with some beginner lvl bots, they might wanna work their way up to a fairly decent play level for some FF matches.

Oh well it's their decision. If they like that game better than let them. The only thing that sucks about that is a smaller place for FF..which really blows.
I still suck at TFC/FF and I still enjoy it. Mainly because I like a challenge. When I do good I get a boost to my ego and I have a perma-grin. It's just satisfying. It keeps me coming back to the game. Unlike CSS where I'm still not that good but can still keep a really good score...I just get bored easy and quit playing for weeks or months. That's just me though. I just can't stand games that are way too easy. |

Ehh, I see a lot of new people to the TF scene flocking to TF2 for its "less skill involved, more fun!" kind of attitude.
Having not personally played TF2, I cannot pass any judgements, though I definitely plan on playing it. FF is my woman, however, and it is naturally going to attract more of the old-school TF players. Thats kinda just the way it will work out. |
