I saw the trailer for it when I saw Hitman. Looks good, but I'm not sure.

When I saw the first trailer all I could think was that the movie looked expensive. Just watching him fly in the air like that looks like it costs a lot.
It looks like amazing fun now though. Still expensive. |

Blue screen + bungee cables + computers = low budget flying .

It's not the days of 2001 where they just built spaceships and recorded people in space (kidding) but it's close. (although for the record some of those sets were intensely large. If you're bored read about how they filmed that movie.) |

Iron Man is the best superhero ever.............
Register with the governement you superhero pukes. I love him. He whooped Captain Americas ass in the chronicles and nobody can touch him. Iron Man vs. Batman would not even be a chance. How in the hell is Batman going to hit Iron Man??? All Iron Man would have to do is grab him and shoot off into space until Bruce Waynes lungs would collapse. Behinds......Iron Man is actually richer then Brucey and tougher. IRON MAN REBUILT HIS OWN BODY JUST USING HIS MIND WHILE HE WAS DEAD!!!!!!!!!!

GREAT Movie. "Where's my gun?" "I threw it in lake. I figured you wouldn't I would. I've got priors back in New York." "So you threw my gun that my mother got me as a special gift in lake? NEXT TO THE CAR! What happens when they drag the lake do you think they'll find my pistol?" |

I personally don't have any real issues with the movie... though I don't recall if the explanation for his generator/reactor thingy in his heart is the same as it was in the comic, but it was a damn good explanation regardless. While I enjoyed the first 2 of the X-Men films; the Spiderman films and Ghost Rider left me with disappointment. I'd place Iron Man above all other Marvel films thus far. Though, as comic-based movies, DC Comics films such as Batman Begins and V for Vendetta are higher on my list. The only real change that I noticed, comes in the form of a spoiler - at the end-of-the-credits scene with Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, whom is white in the comics. |

I just saw the movie. It was awesome. It was just well done, and just was fun to watch.
On a somewhat side note, during one the scenes in which mechanical servos put the suit onto Tony Stark, I couldn't help but notice some startling similarities between the scene and the trailer for StarCraft II... Here's most of the scene of Iron Man suiting up. And here's the SC 2 trailer. While there are obviously inspirations (in my opinion), I think it's honestly really cool. Seriously, if the production crew took inspiration from the trailer, it shows the respect there is for both StarCraft and Blizzard.

I think it really depends on which came first in production - perhaps both had the idea and never knew; or Iron Man took it from SC2; or SC2 took it from Iron Man. Then again nothing from Iron Man came out until July '07 @ Comic Con, when SC2 came out months before @ WWI '07; and knowing movie post-production, they probably we're inspired by SC2's announcement cinematic and used the idea. |

I've seen the movie twice in theaters already and both times I leaned over to my friend Ted at the end of that scene and said "Hell, it's about time." |

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultimate_Nick_Fury I seen the movie today and LOVED it. Its one of the best so far and I agree that they will only get better now that Marvel is doing them in house. Spoiler ALERT I didn't like that Tony said... I am Iron Man to the press. If I remember right, except for during the Civil War series, he never let the public know it was him. He told them that Iron Man was a hired bodyguard that was using armor his company made. They are already saying that there will be another Iron Man Movie in 2010. And reports I have read said that It has made over 200 million world wide just for this weekend alone. |
