Player surge?

This may be entirely coincidental but i've noticed that i've had more players connecting to my server in the last three weeks than in the three months before that. Is this a trend for FF or is it just my server that got popular for some unfathomable reason?

My server is "Norwegian Fortress Forever Center", btw.

I would. Yesterday, me and my friend Arca joined the Jolt server, just us two to get a feel for FF, within minutes it had turned into a full server, it was great, it stayed alive for a few hours too, and FF got quite a lot of praise at the same time, definately people who had just picked up FF and saw a server host such as jolt full, I mean, who doesn't know Jolt =P?

Exactly. What needs to happen is invite one of your good friends into a server that you like(preferabbly not an already full one) and just idle there for a few minutes. You'd be surprised to see how fast a server can fill up like that.

Another thing, I've got like 100+ friends on my list and I get about 1 person per day that asks me about FF, because I'm playing FF at the moment instead of CS or whatever game. Word of mouth is the biggest and best form of advertising, so if someone asks you about it, don't be afraid to post up a link to this site, and even to give them a small summary as well as mentioning that it's FREE.

I gotta say, i pump up FF whenever i can..even on my clans neotf server. You gotta know that people are still playing tfc as well..Also, alot of folks dont have a machine that runs FF well. Nothing you can do about that. What ive noticed is that there are alot of folks who jump from game to game..very much like myself. There are some who really appreciate the teamwork aspect of tf2 and they have grown to like the fact that there are no nades in TF2. I dont really care for TF2, but i definitely like FF and tfc..but, since i bought the orange box..i might as well play and get my moneys worth. ya know?? I also like that new clans are forming, i put our clans info on this forum and im trying to pump this mod up..If you get people on your server, treat em right. I guarantee if they like you, they'll want to play with you..thats what i do..and most of my clan does the same..

initially i thought the patch made the game better. tried it for 10 mins last week, realized the games pace was still slow, havent touched it since.

The mod is growing hugeley, when the new patch comes out in a week or two we will have huge player base steal from Team Fortress 2, the scout will have electronic gun, and leagues will have started, hold on to your pants, its going to happen in the next month, all of it!

who mentioned any kind of timeframe by the way? i was under the impression we were working on a bigger patch..

EDIT: just read the thread about timeframes, and its by no means 1-2 weeks

Gamepace slow? You're nuts!

I'd not played FF for a week or two - been on TF2 on the odd ocassion my gaming Pc was on, and FF felt smooth as well as having fast gameplay.
