im sure there are plenty of ppl who dont post much who are very capable of being play testers. posting doesnt mean anything if you've never played TFC before. im sure the devs will pick ppl who know what to look for (bugs), not who posts the most.

seriously, leave it to the devs to decide. stop stuffing ideas into their face which favour you just playing the game early. there's a huge difference between people who want to just play it early, and people who can actively find bugs

Indeed. The DoD system we had worked quite well, anyone who asked to beta test, didnt get in.

As it turned out the Source Beta testing was a joke as they let us test it, then went:

"So what do you guys want in Source?"

We told them and then they went:

"Ok, lets take it all in-house, ignore what you all said, not tell anyone what we're doing for a year and completely change the game"

I thought I read in a faq somewhere that "forum involvement" was a qualifying factor for beta testing, which is bad news for me and my lurker folk since so many people have scores upon scores of posts. But maybe I just made that up in my head, I do that sometimes o_O

Not that it matters, because I, as the official forum loremaster, know that it has already been forseen (by me, the official forum soothsayer) that I'm getting into the beta.

I am mostly reading the forums just to get all the information about FF i can get.

I never posted and going to post much here, cuz most of the time, questions getting answered within minutes over and over and over.. oh.. yeah.. you get it i think...
The post count thingy is just... well.. it sux pretty hard..

You should try to get ppl that have
1. time
2. good hardware
3. multiple years of TFC experience (and no.. i dont think sniper is an experience)

Maybe some ppl with high-end hardware and some with lower... Just to mix it to see how well the mod is running...
