Fortress Forever Featured in German Magazine

Not sure if this has been brought up before but we've had an article written about us in a German print magazine Gamestar.

http://www.gamestar.de/magazin/sonde...dslevels/2005/

http://www.gamestar.de/magazin/sonde...005/inhalt.pdf

If we have any german people on this board maybe you could check out the magazine and see what they say about us ).

Another classic in the truest sense of the word is Team Fortress. The multiplayer add-on was programmed for a shooter [1] that is on the index [2] in Germany, then ported to Half-Life with the extension "Classic" and finally became the most popular mod next to Counter-Strike. While fans have been waiting [literally: hoping] years in vain for TF2, which is developed by Valve itself, Fortress Forever is created for Half-Life 2. This remake of the [TF(C)] mod is supposed to contain all elements of TFC, from the nine player classes (sniper, medic, engineer and others) to the controversial "bunny hopping".

[1] Quake 1
[2] index of "scripts" (later: media) that are "dangerous" (morally harmful) to young people

Mwuah, a couple of lines about FortressForever, not THAT impressive, but any PR is good PR for a starting mod. And it's in Deutsch unfortunatly. Unfortunatly for non-germans, except the dutchmen of course, seeing as our language is similar enough to Deutsch I can pretty much fully comprehend what is says :P.

pizzahut, if you typed that yourself, kudos! Because that is far from a rough (online) translation. If you didn't type that yourself, I'd like to know where you got it!

Well this was NOT what rebo pointed out. I expect that there is more stuff about FF in the mod magazine. I think it's impressive that they added FF in the biggest german magazine even they didn't saw more than screenshots. I watched the new june magazine (yesterday released) and they wrote about the playable MOD Plan of Attack. What i'm trying to say? They normally doesn't write about MODs without running clips/demos..

Anyway FF should send media materials to gamestar (most ppl read this magazine in germany) as soon as they can. They always showed respect for MODs and they hosted a few TFC Leagues in the past (i think d-walk and No-Clan won it ;o). They always loved the TFC style and i think they will write a bigger review about it.

I have played plan of attack. Pretty much just a mix of CS:s and TFC. There is classes but you need to buy your gun and it's not fast gameplay You have to wait if you've been fragged
Suxor.
The map detail was even suckyer from my maps
Tough it was beta. FF will pwn them!

Well as i said before this is not in the normal magazine. It's a special edition for mods and extra levels. I doubt much ppl buy the special edition.

My picture was taken from the original abo magazine (~300.000 times sold/months so the most sold magazine in europe;o).
