4 Base/4 Flag

Anyone ever see a map with 4 basses and 4 flags where the objective is to control all 4 basses flags at your base?

Maby tighten up security on your own base after every Flag added.

Kinda like Mulch except with 4 flags, not a ball ;P

Never seen a map like this but it sounds cool. Are you gonna start production, Zaskar?

I've played a 4 team version of 2fort way back in QWTF but the objective wasn't to controll all the flags. That sounds like it could be fun.

So, it would be like flagrun, where you get a flag and hold it in your base, but the flags could be stolen and taken back, or to other bases? And then the round would reset if one team got all 4 flags in their base?

Probably you would want to give like 10 points for each single flag cap in your base, but 40 for getting all 4, and maybe 20 for returning your own flag to your base once it's capped somewhere else.

This sounds like a fun idea for a map, but an organizational nightmare, and also it seems very unlikely that any team would be able to hold flags long enough to get all 4. Probably would only be good for a large free-for-all style pub server.

Yea, I doubt it would work very well under a league environment but it could be pretty fun in a pub. I can see holding all 4 being hard as well since the more flags you have the more people that are going to be attacking your base.

If I am reading "Maby tighten up security on your own base after every Flag added." correctly than that will help. I gather you mean with every flag you hold like an entrance to the flagroom is blocked or something like that. So maybe by the time you hold all 4 flags there's only 1 way in and it'll be easier to defend against the 3x amount of people coming your way.

Actually multiflag and/or multiteam maps have great potential to be dazzling enviroments for matches. I hope so anyway. There's clearly a need for wider range of tactics and teamplay in a ffa multiteam map than your regular 2fort. Depending on the map design, when one team has all the flags, things can get really tight though .

I've always wanted to play something like an 8v8v8v8 match.

I was thinkin every additional flag a team had their basses defences got "upgradded" (easier acsess/back dors get closed off, maby at 3 flags/keys some ceeling guns are added, etc)
